Orange Tones

 Sorry, I have been away! As I'm sure most of you have already noticed, the beauty pageant themes tend to repeat and by now they have been repeated quite a lot.  Orange tones was today's theme, but has been used many times in the past. This is part of a series of themes that are color based. Others include: all in green, purple mania and more.  I tend to save an especially creative outfit for a particular theme in my outfits in wardrobe as this makes it easy to reuse outfits when the time comes. Personally, I have grown bored of the repeated themes and saved many outfits to throw on.  I really liked the addition of the beauty pageant in the update as it gave us something more to do with the outfits and allowed creativity in crafting a fit. It also forced us to wear clothes we never usually wear since they are older, which helped us rediscover old pieces that could be incorporated in newer outfits. Of course this is just my personal opinion, so let me know what you think? Anyway

Glossier

 Welcome back! I know I should have talked about this sooner, but I got busy! The new store: Glossy, is quite interesting. I honestly don't know what I was expecting, but I was underwhelmed nonetheless.  The store feels tacky. The pieces are not flattering, especially the pants and the one dress for 13 ems. The jewelry isn't all that exciting and the tops are very basic.  The only thing that saves this collection are the shoes. They are pretty and look good. I just don't think that the actual clothes were nice. The cutest piece in the entire collection is of course one of the most expensive. The flowy dress costing 9 diamonds, which by the way, isn't even that glossy material they were going for in the other pieces.  The material itself looks like they combined faux leather and plastic. Not a good combination in any sense. Like I said, tacky. Yeah this is pretty short lol. Let me know what you thought? x Nial.l

 Hello A.R.M.Y.!  Yes k-pop lovers, there is a BTS merch store for your man in LadyPopular!  I was impressed to say the least. It is a very small store, but also everything is well made. I really thought the shirt with the little BTS member caricatures was so cute! (btw not even a bts fan lol). I really liked the addition of the bucket hat and I wish they would give us bucket hats for our ladies! This store is very good for streetwear pieces and jewelry if you're into that with your man lol!  Honestly, yes, a very short review, but I think we get the point: this is a great collection despite not being a k-pop fan and you can find some cool pieces! x Nial.l

Friends

 Welcome! Flashback events are actually so awesome because many times you might have been halfway through completing an event the first time, so now you get a chance to finish it off!  Today we had the Friends in New York event flashback. I only remember getting the iconic brown sofa the first time around, but this time, I actually got many more furniture items! Dice events are always a treat because you have the opportunity to win emeralds and dollars, as well as clothing or furniture items! You can't really lose with a dice event because you're bound to get something!  I know a lot of people watch Friends, which is a pretty popular 90s tv show revolving around a group of friends and their lives, but I have never seen more than a clip or two. Even though I am not a fan of the show, I can still enjoy this event because the furniture and clothing is a really cute retro 90s style. Gossip Girl

"Hey Upper East siders! Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite!" Currently watching the hit CW show Gossip Girl, which aired from 2007-2012, I can hear this sentence as I am typing it. Though some hate it and some love it, the iconic show has been revered as one of the most popular and influential shows of the early 2000s. Just recently, in July of 2021, the show was rebooted by HBO, almost a decade after the original show ended.  Though my interest in this show sparked after seeing ads and trailers for the reboot, I have not actually seen the reboot, opting to watch the original to see what all the hype was about. And honestly, while I'm watching this show, I've noticed some pretty cool impacts of Gossip Girl on LadyPopular.  (If you were here for an in-depth review of either the 2007 or 2021 Gossip Girl, I should tell you that although I will mention a storyline here or an opinion there, but I will not go throug

Northern Lights

 Welcome! I realize I didn't tell you what the second thing I was excited for was in my last post. That is because this deserves it's own post! The Aurora Borealis solitare event is one of the most breathtaking events so far. Everything from the backgrounds to the actual outfits themselves are so beautiful and magical. I have so far only played the first deck, but it is so wonderful that I cannot imagine what the other decks look like.  If you didn't know, the aurora borealis are a real phenonmenon most visible in places like Alaska. They are also called the northern lights as they light up the night sky in an array of different colors for a magical show of nature. Here is a real picture  I mean take a look at this! They really have captured the beauty of the colors in this magical event.  It's absolutely beautiful!  Solitare events are one of the easier events (if you know how to play solitare) because they do not just require emeralds and diamonds to win the outfits a

Happy New Year!

Welcome back! Happy 2022! Alas, it seems that we did not in fact receive a gift from the LadyPopular team, however we did recently receive some new and exciting events! The first event was the new store: Winter Sports.  I was excited about this store becuase we don't usually get many sports related stores on the game and I was expecting a super cute collection. However, I was underwhelmed. Not to say that the clothing isn't cute, but I was expecting more variety in the sports than just snowboarding. It would have been really nice if they added equipment for skiing, ice skating and sledding. I know they added a little sled and a pair of ice skates, but I think they could have done better.  The graphics for the very tiny  sled are not great and looks like it was thrown in as a last minute decision. Although the ice skates certainly look better than the sled, there is no fun outfit to match the skates like there is for the snowboarding outfit.  In addition, it would have been nice
